I am Kristof, and I'm in my last year of civil engineering. This year, we have to make a Masters (research) thesis. Me and my collegue, Nicholas, have chosen for a thesis about Building Information Modeling (BIM). We have chosen to use the BIM-software Revit. Our work consists out of 2 main subjects:
1) The research of the use of a nested family in Revit MEP
2) The research of the possibility to generate the takeoffs, counts and measurements directly from a BIM-Model
I've chosen for the second subject. In this blog, I want to share my experiences and results.
